For its second edition, organized by Business France, in partnership with the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFACI), EY and supported by the Crédit Agricole Group, Club Germany brought together nearly 80 representatives of major German businesses operating in France.

A number of distinguished guests spoke at this event, including:

– Olivier Becht, Minister for Foreign Trade, Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, who underlined the importance of maintaining close relations between France and Germany.

“Germany has become the leading foreign investor in France.”

– Bruno Bonnell, Secretary General for Investment, in charge of the “France 2030” development plan, who spoke about the fundamental issue of decarbonization.

“‘France 2030’ is the industrial accelerator.”

– Marie-Cécile Tardieu, Chief Operating Officer at Business France, in charge of foreign investment.

At the same time, the second edition of the German Investors’ Club in France was an opportunity for the financial audit and consulting firm EY, in collaboration with the CFACI, to present the results of a report produced every two years entitled “German businesses in France: economic situation, perceptions and outlook 2022-2026.”

This report has shown us, in particular, that Germany is still the leading European investor in France, and the second largest in the world, as well as the fact that a large majority of Germany businesses have regained or surpassed the level of activity that they had before the Covid-19 health crisis.
