A total of 50 foreign businesses from 20 countries and located in 12 French regions responded to the call for the “Choose France” awards.

The winners were selected by a jury chaired by Pascal Cagni, Ambassador for International Investment, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Business France, and bringing together institutions and qualified businesspeople.

 

This year, the members of the jury have chosen to put the spotlight on six businesses that have implemented an effective talent management policy in recent years by awarding them the following awards:

 

  • Ecological Transition” award – Renault Trucks: Swedish industrial vehicle manufacturer, based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, which was rewarded for its ambitious environmental policy and its target of decarbonizing its vehicles by 2040.

  • Competitiveness and Innovation” award – Solvay: Belgian firm which is preparing to create a European Hub for the production of advanced materials for batteries in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, representing an investment of more than €600 million.

  • Cohesion and Solidarity” award – Corning: American specialist in the production of laboratory equipment, which innovates in the field of research and is preparing to create a new production site for Corning Life Sciences in the Hauts de France region.

  • Special Jury” award – Sifu: Spanish firm based in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region and number one in the social business sector in Europe, Sifu works on a daily basis to enable people with disabilities to access employment.

  • Special Jury” award – Aptar Be One: This American firm, which designs and manufactures packaging for luxury cosmetics is opening a new production site with high environmental requirements in the  Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

  • Special Regional” award – Parker Meggitt: American specialist in the design and manufacture of electronic components for the aerospace industry. The group has a financial commitment of €35 million, directly linked to the construction of a new industrial site in the Pays de la Loire region.
